RIFLE COMPETITION - RIMFIRE AND CENTREFIRE
Rimfire
All rimfire shooters should be signed in before 8:30am, shooters will be designated a detail and bench numbers.
The rimfire competition consists of 3 rounds of separate targets.
Round 1: International Standard Hunter Class Targets
2 scoring shots per target (a total of 20 scoring shots), and unlimited shots on the sighter target (surrounded by a box).
Round 2: International Standard RBA (Rimfire Benchrest Australia).
1 scoring shot per target, a total of 25 targets.
Unlimited sighter shots on the sighter targets at the top and bottom of the target page,
Round 3: Rabbit and Crow Target.
This course does not allow any sighter shots.
Shooters must put 5 scoring shots on all 3 targets, 15 scoring shots total.
All targets are scored by an Official Scorer. The course of fire will be instructed by a Range Officer, if any competitor has any questions or issues the Range Officer will assist.
Following rimfire presentations and lunch, we move onto centrefire competition.
Centrefire
The Centrefire competition is open and unlimited.
Centrefire competition is based on shot group size, not scoring shots.
Centrefire will shoot a standard 100m hunter class target.
5 x 5 shot groups with unlimited sighters in the sighter target, a total of 25 scoring shots.
The scores are measured by an official to make an average group size and recorded.
The course of fire will be instructed by a Range Officer, if any competitor has any questions or issues the Range Officer will assist.
PPE:
Hearing protection is advised.
Eye protection is advised.
Enclosed footwear must be worn.
