Clifton Benchrest Shooting Club invites you to the 2026 High School Benchrest Shooting Challenge. The competition: A 50 metre, 50 shot target shoot using .22 rifles   Sign in from 8am, Safety briefing at 8.25am   Competitor cost: $55 per person This includes: admission, nomination fees, morning tea and lunch, ammunition, rifle hire, range hire and all insurances. Adult supervision is required for all participants, there is no charge for supervisors but all in attendance must sign in with and show photo ID Please note: Only 2 teams per school will be able to compete as we have limited numbers   Competitors must: Sign range register on arrival Hand in a completed and signed Form 33 and Indemnity Waiver Complete safety briefing at 8.25 am Produce current photo ID (school ID is accepted) Provide their own eye protection and wear enclosed shoes Only use provided club rifles and ammunition Follow all event and CBSC rules Follow all safety instructions from event staff and ROs on the day Acknowledge that failure to follow rules or safety instructions may result in the removal of you and your team from the event grounds   Indemnity waiver and Form 33 All participants must arrive with (or email before the event) the supplied indemnity waiver and Form 33 signed by their parent or legal guardian. We will not allow any individual to participate in this event without these documents. The competition includes: 25 Target Single Barrel 25 Target Double Barrel 25 Target Points Score (3, 2, 0) Sign in from 7.30am, Firearm check in and inspection 7.45am to 8.15am, Safety briefing at 8.25am   Competitor cost: $55 per person This includes: admission, nomination fees, morning tea and lunch, clay targets, range hire and all insurances. Please note: Shot gun hire is available for $25/per person (it is strongly encouraged to provide your own) Adult supervision is required for all participants, there is no charge for supervisors but all in attendance must sign in with and show photo ID   Competitors must: Sign range register on arrival Hand in a completed and signed Form 33 and Indemnity Waiver Complete safety briefing at 8.25 am Produce current photo ID (school ID is accepted) Provide their own eye protection and wear enclosed shoes Provide their own shells for the competition - 5 full boxes or 125 shells (excess ammunition will be returned to the designated licenced individual for each team) Provide their own shotgun (preferred) or hire a shotgun ($25/per person). Please indicate if you are planning to share a firearm with someone else on your team. This is important as you may be scheduled to shoot at the same time on the same or another trap. If team members plan to share a firearm please let us know by emailing cbscinterschool2dayshoot@gmail.com  Have competed in a Clay Target competition previously OR undertake a safety/practice shoot on either Sunday the 10th May at 9am or Wednesday the 13th May at 3.30pm at Clifton Benchrest Shooting Club. This must be undertaken by an individual with a current weapons licence. Upon arrival, all firearms and ammunition must be handed to event staff at the firearms station and ammunition station. Firearms will be labelled, stored and monitored by event staff while not in use. All ammunition must be clearly labelled with the team and individual shooters name before being stored at the ammunition station. E.g. Join us for Round 1 of the Clifton-Millmerran Interclub Shoot Round 1 will consist of a .22 benchrest shoot and a down the line clay target comp. .22 Benchrest: No separate classes. Shoot any .22 rifle, no specifications or restrictions other than the rifle being in safe operating condition. Course of fire: 40 shots total (20 shots in 30 mins x 2)   Down the line Clay Target Comp: Course of Fire: Shoot and break the clays. 25 clays, single point.   Cost: $20/person. Includes a BBQ lunch.   Times: Sign in from 8.30 am, event starts at 9am.   Upon arrival: Please sign in immediately upon arrival Please indicate whether you will be competing in the benchrest comp, clay target comp or both. There is no difference in price to compete in all comps.
